Submitted to the Kingdom in 710 AD |
This article recently turned up behind some old history books in the Tantallon Royal Library. No reports exist for when this was submitted but the date mentioned at the beginning is our only evidence.
~ Tantallon Royal Library, Library Clerk, 714 AD
In this year, 710 AD, The world has changed from
when it was first weaved into an extraordinary planet of myth, legend, and
sloth. What is this world. A creation of mass ordinance, and angered beings that
wanted a tournament style arena, where the players are everyone whom is alive,
dead, undead, or even un-born. Yes, this is the world in which I was accustomed.
My Imperia, my home...is it not lovely?
I leave this for those to read. My name is Sabeation Singuin of the line
known universally as "Death". My purpose in the beginning was to
observe and take notes on the way the world worked, but now, through the years,
that duty...has changed. So to you the reader I leave a record of my travels for
all whom wish to read, and learn. I am old, so these accounts are real. Yes I
have traveled to these places and yes I know these people. The turn or twist it
is called, is that I am not as legendary, as extraordinary, or even as simple as
these patrons for whom I have encountered.
Imperia, now, is a land of legends and history. Why is this? Well the
answer lies within its passion. All, or most know of Galadore. Baiganx is a
legend so far in his own time. I have had the pleasure of conversation with the
former Queen Belle. Even talked with King Ulric, and King Perelay. I am, or was,
a regular of the famous TwistedBlade Inn. With that, I also know Zarak, and his
son Scian. I have been to Steeldeath, and come back (This does not mean I was
imprisoned mind you), I have been to the Isle of Dread, even to the land of the
Shadow Knights, and lived to tell this tale. Yet now you must be wondering,
" How is this possible?’ well my fellow enlightener its simple- I am
immortal in my own belief. Humorous yes, unlikely...of course, but true.
That’s the beauty of this all, its true. You though will label this as
history. Another piece in time that is never taken seriously, many times
explored, and in the end left to be forgotten. Yet I like it that way, for I
know those whom find this will read this, and those whom are truly adventurous
or seeking enlightenment, you and only you will understand.
My travels begin on the Isle of Dread. A mysterious place that has never
been populated by humanoid creatures, or has it? Well I am the sole Witch Doctor
of a tribe that was once vast and split into many. They are called the
Ambla-Gein. A race unknown to any alive, save those whom have been introduced by
myself, or another known as Deltra, my protégé, one I shall not get into, and
one I warn all to take heed of. But back to the point. Yes a race of marvelous
creatures, Shapeshifters, Changers, Shifters, whatever you call them. But they
are there, and they flourish in mass numbers. Which explains why they have
rarely been seen on the Isle, for they can be the land. The Ambla-Gein though is
a reclusive bunch of trabals, yet not primitive and do not believe in your
Primals. But they do populate on a very interesting harvesting product, but for
their safety, I shall not disclose it.
From their I took a voyage, or lets be honest I
stowed away on a passing ship, and on this ship I saw the cruelty of the old
days. The creation known as "Slavery". I watched as the ship hands
raped women, put children to work, and killed the men, dumping all the dead
bodies in the river. I watched and marveled honestly, but did nothing for at the
time...it was not my place. In the end we landed and I made my way from that
hate filled place. Later I learned that the ship I was on was apart of a very
well know slave trading operation, and the ship was destroyed days later.
Well after that fortunate trip I found myself in
Damocles. A state of Royalty, where I hob nobbed with the rich and famous. It
was grand. I dressed in the elegance as they did, I spoke as they did. But not
to say the least here a vile form slept. This form was called Greed. Look if you
want, research but you will not find anything here, and what I refer to the
onslaught of many peasants. You see a pass time of the Rich during this time was
to take in those whom were labeled hopeless and not desired, and kill them in
the most slow-painful ways imaginable. If one was to scout below the sewers of
Damocles one might find what I mean. Please when you do, stay away from the room
labeled "OriVon" It is rumored to house undead, and well frankly dear
reader, it is not a rumor.
From here I traveled to Axius. A state in its own,
and weak state in fact. Well shortly I will come to this point. I stayed here
for many years. In fact I was in Tantallon when The TwistedBlade Inn was being
constructed, interesting story behind that. You see when it was constructed I
had seen the proprietor, whom in fact was Zarak Scythe. Well in my research I
had known him to be an infamous pirate. In fact He looked much like a young boy
I saw auctioned off years ago when I made my travel here to the main land.
Interesting no. To further this story, I watched and observed. When the building
was under construction I saw many things, things like an underground In fact I
had my own personal map drawn of the area under the Inn, not to include a vast
inventory list. But I my apologies I have hidden it away after I befriended
Zarak later down the road.
Almost twenty years later I found myself observing
a war. A war against an army known as the Shadow Knights. This army lead by a
Titan-Troll creation that was undoubtedly irritated because he should have been
born a woman, and well, honestly, was bore a man with the monthly aggravation of
a woman. During this war I also took notes on the on goings. In fact I stealthed
my way into Damocles again, seeing how at this time its borders were in a way,
closed. What I found was again humorous. I have documented proof that Damocles
from the beginning sought, or may have always been, a military nation, in truth
ployed from the beginning to attempt not only destruction of the Shadow Knights,
but also domination of Axius Kingdom. Those wishing to obtain said documents
will have to search for a Library unknown to you. In fact, this Library lies
within a Giant Monstrosity that has been homed to a mystifying evil, that
changes the very face of existence. Plus, for added support, the surroundings of
the Library also lays in-between two nations, an obvious hint I must add. In
fact if you find this library, you too will be astounded, bewildered, and most
all changed forever.
Well of course everyone knows the war ended, and
thus my residence began in Tantallon. My, my....I do say I saw much of what
happened. By this time of course I had already introduced myself to those whom
have frequented the TwistedBlade Inn. True I was not liked, for I began my work
as a free lance assassin, but, I was more liked by the patrons then by Galadore...that’s
a story I would rather relish in verbal conversation. The world began to change
rapidly. And I left.
My
journey took me to many places. An Underground Nation that lives
within a stronghold called Craven. They are a barbaric race of mix races.
Dwarves, elves, Humans, and more. They do of course have intelligent appointed
and trained beings there that run the Nation. If I was you I would find this
place, for when you discover the underground caverns they have dug, I must say
you will be amazed. Here I learned everything I needed to know, so will you if
you ever find it. From here I spread to my locations, from here my journey
really began.
I first arrived in a known area called Muldune. A
Shadow Knight swarm of a land. Pillars of statues dedicated to Galadore. What a
pitiful sight. Yet in all of this macabre lied a ruin. A ruin untouched by their
foul deceitful hands. It is called the ruin of Transpit. A castle looking ruin
that bears the hope of the land. A Giant portal unit left here by the Aliens
prior to you or me. It spans to an alternate world of unlimited means. Yes, this
portal leads to a world, many in fact. Spread to the very imagination of time.
This may explain the oddities in our world, where many come. It is invisible to
the naked eye, you cannot sense it with magic, only a Primal can show you the
way, and I thank Argus for this insightfulness.
The land of Myth and Elves. Lovely place, really
it was. Well that was until the Drow took the reins and grew tired of being
second sought. But that was a long time ago, and now the drow are no longer
feared and still in circulation. Where this place is only you can ask, for none
really ever talk about it, but the Drow still flourish, I should know, I am one
of them...in a way. Anyways, lies within the world of drow a weapon. A weapon of
mass ordinance that it can disintegrate any organic thing with a touch. It is a
sword, a powerful sword, not even touched by the Primals, and carried by a
deadly woman. Her name, not important, the sword though is. My journey furthered on. Vernalla. A swamp world you may look at it, since it
houses nothing in my eyes except a very noble-barbaric race. Yes. A race of what
you may ask. Well a mix breed of Verax and Gnome it appears. Now you are
thinking I am sure, this man is old and knows nothing. You are mistaken. I am
not senile nor delusional. Remember I speak only truth.
Roshack...Mighty Roshack. A kingdom that is
self-sufficient, and unmatched. All I can give you on them is this: Take them
with all your might, just don’t use magic, and do not speak the word of
Primals, their high religious council may burn you as a witch.
I cannot say much of others, Terongoth is mud,
Canaris Island is well Damocles Military, well in a way. Aeris is really a myth,
Bartia is idiotic in status, and Kardius....well that’s a new story is it not.
The Kardians are a very advance race of people. They have a form of fighting
that no one on this land mass uses. In fact, they also have the creation of
gunpowder, and a very-very-very cultured world. Their legends I hear are
excellent, like stories, and their economy is based on farming and mining. They
do not have civil wars, and they do not have much crime. All in all a great
country by what I understand, lead by one man, a president as they call him.
I have more stories, really I do. Like the Krarthians. I will assume you
did not realize that they have only one real warrior. They rest are cowards at
heart. And I bet you did not know that a man by the name of Ashiroth lives in
our system. Steer clear of him, he has a bad attitude and needs to have a whore
sometime in his life-for once. Damocles has it's own planet, all of their own.
Our dragon's, well they come from Dineer. A sort of Utopia for Dragon kind. In
fact it disgusts me, but is that is what they like, then well that is what they
like.
As for my fellow reader I state this, for I doubt you will ever find me:
be weary of my statement. They may drive you mad, greedy, lustful, hateful,
and/or kill you. Explore the vast world and find what I did even find what I did
not or what I fail to mention, and I assure you I failed to mention a lot. It is
now you lore, what I give you. It is now your lore.
