Lesson 1
Imperia's Solar System:
At a Glance
Imperia
itself is the third planet of an eight planet solar system (which originally was
ten planets) located out along the inner edge of the ring just beyond the
galactic cluster. While space travel to these worlds is centuries away, these
worlds are well known and observed by intrepid astronomers in Damocles.
The
Sun |
|
Imperia's sun is similar to the sun in our own solar system, located within
the center of the Imperia Solar System |
Imperia
I |
|
The first planet in the Imperia solar system is a small, high temperature
world with hellish conditions, a toxic atmosphere and is nestled close to the
sun. Very little is known of this world nor do any even know it exist as it has
never been seen by astronomers due to it's close proximity to the sun. |
Imperia
II |
|
This
gaseous world is nor as hot as Imperia I, but that's like comparing the
inside of a volcano to hell itself. This world is actually known and seen, with
a few philosophers on Imperia actually believing this world is the actual
location of the hellish Plane of Oblivious. True or not this is unknown, however
this planet being the hell of Imperia is extremely unlikely. |
Imperia
III |
|
This earth-type world is the world where all of Imperia RP takes place on
and has conditions similar to Earth with the exception of this world being
smaller than Earth and having two moons instead of one. Along the outer edge of
this planet orbit a string of large quartz crystals, each about ten feet in
height and 3 feet in width, along the equator of the world. This string,
launched in the early 700s by the Damocles Empire, is known as the Eyes of
Damocles. Very little is known publicly of the Eyes of Damocles and many believe
they exist as either weapons or research and mapping tools. The truth is
Damocles uses these to maintain communications with all airships of the Damocles
Fleet along Damocles's ever-growing territory. Also there is rumored to be a
type of satellite, one of unknown origin and high technology, orbiting around
Imperia. Nearly nothing is known of this, but rumors persist this is a weapon of
devastating power and under ownership by the Damocles Empire. |
Imperia
IV |
|
This planet is also an earth-type world and one which is more similar to earth
in size. It orbits much closer to Imperia III than Mars orbits to Earth but very
little is known of this world as no portals appear capable of entering into this
planet nor has any nation (publicly) acknowledged this world. Several
astronomers are aware of it, and a few even theorize this world could be
anything from a Shadow Knight base, to another Earth or even the prison of the
Titans. |
Imperia
V |
|
The fifth planet of the solar system was once a barren rocklike world however
it was destroyed by unknown reasons thousands of years ago. It is now a large asteroid
field. Some historians claim there is ancient mention of this world in records
brought over by the settlers stating this world was destroyed by a large
creature seen moving among the stars however this is believed to just be a mere
myth. |
Imperia
VI |
|
This large
gaseous planet, located just beyond the asteroid belt of Imperia V
is believed to be several times larger than Imperia III or IV. Very little is
known, as no astronomer is able to peer past the belt of Imperia V. |
Imperia
VII |
|
This
gaseous world is slightly smaller than Imperia VI and is also unknown like
it's bigger brother. |
Imperia
VIII |
|
If people of Imperia knew of this world, they would
probably feel this was the
home of either the Abyss or the Plane of Oblivious. This world is inhospitable
to all life, and is truly hell incarnate. Alas however this world is also
unknown and undiscovered. |
Imperia
IX |
|
This world also suffered a similar fate as Imperia V in that this world is now
a floating debris field. It has too little debris in it however to be called an asteroid
belt, suggesting that it's destruction was due to some violent
explosion. When this occurred however is unknown, however near the last months of
713 AD there was an unusually high number of meteor showers at Imperia III. |
Imperia
X |
|
This small ice world is located on the distant edge of the solar system, and
is hidden from the view of peering eyes at Imperia III by the asteroid belt and debris
field as well as the other planets located along the way. |
