About the Arennonmist Inn

The Arennonmist Inn is right along the center of the west side of Relgard Castle in the town of Relgard. Out in front of the Inn is the Relgard Arena, and to the Inn's North is Relgard Keep.  The Inn has a very simple and quaint construction, built in 719 AD, and has remained the same since it's original construction. For under 15 silver, a person can get a decent meal. Specialty meals, by the Inn's cook Walton Waveglider, go for starting at 17 silver and are of much better cuisine but his menu constantly changes. Some such dishes he has made has been Lamb Kabobs, Beef Roast, Cherry Sorbet and Apple Crumble. The Inn has rooms for rent at 8 silver a day with the accommodations being above average and with a bathroom and double-sized bed. All rooms are located along the 1st and 2nd floors of the building.

The first floor features a common room, bar, two brick fireplaces, windows peering out to the western view and the Arena, a well-stocked kitchen and the dormitory rooms for rent. The second floor contains single rooms and then the deluxe rooms which can only be rented out by Inn owner Richtous Bale. The front doors exit out to a small dirt road leading to the Relgard Arena as well as the rest of the buildings located within the walled and safe confines of Relgard Castle. Several water troughs and hitching areas are found up front, with stables also within walking distance and for rent for just 10 silver per horse/per day .

Drinks

Note: Prices for certain drinks are higher in the Arennon Mist Inn than the Twisted Blade Inn due to AMI's Location. Also, lethality varies from person to person to gender to race, but it's based off a normal human male. Females are more susceptible to alcohol, while orcs and dwarves can drink humans under the table any day of the week due to their size. Finally, water is always available - and it's FREE!

Ales

Port Arennon Brew
Served in a Mug: 5 copper
Popularity: High
Lethality: Low. About seven mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: This local brew is best appreciated by the locals and the common man with not much money to waste and is the normal ale ordered when a customer just wants "Ale" in all taverns and Inns in the Port Arennon & Relgard area. This frothy ale has a pale yellow foam atop a cloudy brown bubbly liquid with a light bitter taste. It is shipped to ales in casks and barrels and never sold by the bottle. Most Inns and Taverns can purchase it in 12 gallon casks at two electrum and four silver each.
Mennald's Stout
Served in a Mug: 7 copper
Popularity: High
Lethality: Low. About five mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: This drink, a heavy, pitch-black stout with a low, rich malt flavor and a rich smooth head, is made in Mennald City and shipped into Relgard and also onto other areas for buying customers. The drink is for those with better tastes than the average swill. It is shipped to ales in casks and barrels and never sold by the bottle. Most Inns and Taverns can purchase it in 12 gallon casks at 3 electrum each.
Old Red Eye
Served in a Mug: 9 copper
Popularity: Medium
Lethality: Medium-high. Three mugs will get a person drunk, the fourth would put them out cold.
Description: This Ale, claimed to of been made by the Ogres and the Orcs, (However the Dwarves claim those creatures stole the recipe from them) is named so cause of the bleary, red-eyed hangovers that come with the drink. While this drink is lighter and less opaque than most stouts, it has a higher alcohol content and a fiery red color from a brewing process rumored to involve pepper and other minute spices in the grain mix. It has a mildly hot aftertaste like a watered down Firebrandy, and is the favored drink of various feasts among the dwarf as this drink goes great with freshly cooked meat right off the bone. The drink is brewed in the dwarven communities to the west of Waypoint and shipped in 30 gallon barrels at 105 silver.
Kraeth's Nectar
Served in a Mug: 9 copper
Popularity: Medium-high
Lethality: Medium-high. Three mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: This drink, boasting a very rich and thick head and a strong dark red liquid that just seems to really pound into your head, is brewed at a dwarf-run brewery in Norcon, Damocles and shipped to several areas of the known land. The drink is mostly favored by those wanting something far stronger than regular Ale and many dwarves pride this as their own drink as they claim the recipe was handed down by Kraeth himself. It is shipped to ales in casks and barrels and never sold by the bottle. Most Inns and Taverns can purchase it in 12 gallon casks at four electrum and eight silver.
Port Arennon Mead
Served in a Mug: 4 copper
Popularity: Medium
Lethality: Very low. A dozen or so mugs will get a person drunk, more if it's watered down.
Description: This light, relaxing honey mead made in the Port Arennon area is a gentle drink and popular among the poor who don't want to get overly drunk. Mostly used at celebrations or parties, the drink is a highly profitable one and some Inns water down their stock to extend it and rake in more money. It is shipped to ales in casks and barrels and never sold by the bottle. Most Inns and Taverns can purchase it in 12 gallon casks at 18 silver each.
Cylion's Cascade Mead
Served in a Mug: 6 copper
Popularity: Medium-Low
Lethality: Very low. Ten mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: This Dark Mead, tasting of a secret blend of fruit, is shipped into Port Arennon from the neighboring town of Cylion just to the west of Mennald Island. It is enjoyed more by the drinker of a more refined taste, and preferred in feasts and celebrations of the medium class. It is shipped to ales in casks and barrels and never sold by the bottle. Most Inns and Taverns can purchase it in 12 gallon casks at 27 silver each.
Skullsplitter Ale
Served in a mug: 10 copper
Bottle: 28 copper
Popularity: Medium-low
Lethality: Medium-high. Three mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: This rather strong and heavy Ale comes out from the seedy nation of Terangoth and does exactly what the name implies. Shipped in across Terangoth in mostly casks, barrels and tuns a few Inns keep at least half a dozen bottles in stock in case a customer ever wants some of it but mostly they buy it in casks. One 12 gallon cask of the drink can be purchased for around 51 silver.
Dantanian Ale
Served in a mug: 2 silver
Bottle: 14 silver
Popularity: Medium-high.
Lethality: Medium-low. Four mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: The lighter and softer version of Ale this drink is shipped in from Dantania and is the preferred drink in most medium class establishments. Due to the elegant nature of Dantania, this drink is sold mostly in bottles and never common casks and tuns. However it makes getting new shipments in rather lengthy and delayed.

Wines

White Wine
Served in a wine glass: 15 silver
Bottle: 10 electrum
Popularity: High
Lethality: Low. About six glasses will get a person drunk.
Description: While not as robust as Red Wine it is also a popular drink and also from the vineyards of Dantania. Preferred by many along with a great meal such as freshly cooked fish from the Eradina Sea.
Red Wine
Served in a wine glass: 18 silver
Bottle: 12 electrum
Popularity: Medium-high
Lethality: Low. About six glasses will get a person drunk.
Description: This popular red wine is shipped in from the vineyards of Dantania and is a popular drink among the more wilder elements of high society in Tantallon and a favorite among women.
Elven Wine (Red & White Varieties)
Served in a wine glass: 23 silver for White / 36 for Red
Bottle: 17 electrum for White / 26 for Red
Popularity: Very Low, due the severely limited availability of this drink. Only those of the upper-middle class are able to afford the drink, and the Arennon Mist Inn only has approximately ten bottles a month of white and two bottles of red a month.
Lethality: Low. About six glasses will get a person drunk.
Description: This wine, which comes in many different colors and flavors, was long made from the rich forests of the Elven nation of Dewwillow and then from Ven'Tul, which is now Nore Quenderin. Although Nore Quenderin promises to start shipping Elven Wine soon, the drink is still very rare.

Exotic Drinks

Damocles Firebrandy
Served in a shot glass: 5 silver
Served in a glass (usually used for brandy): 18 silver
Bottle: 13 electrum
Popularity: Low. Although popular in the Twisted Blade, only heavy drinkers and enthusiastic, overly ambitious warriors are stupid enough to try it. The latter of the two usually never do it again.
Lethality: Very High. Only veterans of the First Damocles-Shadow Knight war seem immune to its effects which cause a coughing fit, watery eyes, a burning throat and sometimes unconsciousness in the drinker. A few shots, or one or two glasses, will cause a person to become seriously drunk as well as cause damage to the esaphogus and stomach lining.
Description: This is a fire-colored alcoholic drink which was rumored to have been invented as a prank by the Primal Argus when he masqueraded as a Damocles soldier back during the First Damocles-Shadow Knight War.
Roshack Hard Cider
Served in a mug: 12 silver
Bottle: 10 electrum
Popularity: Medium-high.
Lethality: Medium-high. About three tall mugs will get a person drunk.
Description: The Roshack Hard Cider is a blend of fruity apple cider and hard liquor akin to a Dark Ale. The supplies of this alcoholic fruit drink are dwindling, as Roshack is still under the occupation of the Shadow Knight Empire. However, a few people are producing the drink and selling them from Vernalla and Terangoth.
Seavale
Served in a glass: 6 silver
Bottle: 5 electrum
Popularity: Medium-high
Lethality: None. Non-alcoholic drink.
Description: Seavale is a blending of several flavors into a form of fruit punch and is preferred by the more wealthy traveler who wants to keep their wits about them while within a crowded tavern. However, lately it has become more popular around the more peaceful lands of the Arennon Mist Inn, so the Inn makes its own seavale by using fruits from the marketplace, making it cheaper there then at the Twisted Blade Inn.
Hot Chocolate
Served in a tea cup: 15 silver
Popularity: Medium-Low
Lethality: None, but it can burn the tongue.
Description: The hot chocolate is what the name says, and it is slowly becoming popular in the Arennon Mist Inn. It is made by a special recipe brought to the Inn by a stranger who showed one of the barmaids how to make it.
Tea
Served in a tea cup: 9-15 silver
Popularity: Medium-Low
Lethality: None, but it can burn the tongue.
Description: Hot water with tea leaves mixed in. Extra for cream and sugar. Various kinds.
Milk
Served in a mug: 2 copper
Popularity: Medium
Lethality: None.
Description: This local milk is milked from cows and sold to Inn's and Taverns all over. While not a very highly demanded drink, it is very cheap and in plentiful supply.
Screaming Troll - due to the nature of this drink to cause hallucinations, it has been banned from the Arennon Mist Inn since the drinking contest held during the Port Arennon Festival of 717 AD. Although Gandrews Yontither nor Richtous Bale won't go into detail, it's said that this drink caused the entire Inn common room to be burned severely, almost causing the Inn to collapse.
Bloodwyne - due to the suspicious nature of this drink and the ordering of it has been known to cause panic in the patrons who hear the order, this drink has been banned from the Arennon Mist Inn.
