The World

The main focus point of our Role Play is the planet Imperia.

Imperia is an Earth-type/M-Class planet with two moons in it's own solar system of ten planets. Imperia is at a point 8 light years from Earth, with the planets in a more dense cluster of the galaxy than our own Earth. Like Earth, Imperia has oxygen and similar plant life and "Imperian Common" sounds like a dialect of Latin. Imperia orbits it's sun for a 365 day year, with leap years every four years, and has a system of 13 months, broken down into twelve 28 day months and a 13th month with 29 days.

While similar to Earth, Imperia is not as large as Earth. Imperia measures at 19,200 miles across it's equator, and 12,000 miles from pole to pole. A large portion of Imperia remains unexplored and unknown to the people of Verdania, and Imperia drifts among the stars around her sun with only the moons Taidet and Daeril to keep it company.

As stated, Imperia has two moons. Both named after one of Imperia's greatest love story legends. The first moon is called Taidet, named after a former Primal of Nature, Heaven, Earth & Good. Taidet follows a very routine and regular orbit around Imperia, and is always visible much like our own moon. Viewing it with a telescope, it appears as a barren lifeless rock. Taidet has the same phases as our own moon, reaching full moon phase every 28 days. For many Romantics of Imperia, Tiadet is seen as the masculine moon, a sign of strength and reliability. As an oath, some Verdanians even swear that "the light of Tiadet shines within me."

Daeril is further out, and only reaches full moon phase every 219 days. Daeril appears more fuzzy from a telescope, and many astronomers feel this is because of some reflection caused by the sun. However no one is certain what is causing this reflective haze. Daeril is smaller than Taidet, and represents the former Primal of Love, Procreation, Sexuality & Beauty. It is seen as the feminine moon, and when both moons are close together, in either an eclipse or one biting the other, it is a day praised as highly as we would Saint Valentine's day. For them to bite (Appear to visually overlap but not all the way) is seen as a romantic holiday. For one to eclipse the other, is seen as a sexual holiday depending on which eclipses the other. When Taidet drifts in and eclipses Daeril, it is seen as a day in which the males are expected to shower the females with gifts, signs of devotion, and do their bidding. However when Daeril drifts inwards closer and eclipses Taidet, it is seen as the opposite in which the females are expected to serve the men.

The story of Taidet & Daeril are that of two Primals who fell into a forbidden love. The Primals are Imperia's Gods, omnipotent deities who rule over the galaxy itself and maybe much more, however that is entirely speculation. What is known is that Primals are selected to fill in posts, positions and jobs. At the time Taidet served as the Primal of Nature, Heaven, Earth & Good (A position now filled by Lothos) and Daeril served as the Primal of Love, Procreation, Sexuality & Beauty. Long ago, either millions or quite possibly billions of years ago, Taidet and Daeril fell in love and soon wished to create a child. Among the Primals, this is forbidden so Taidet and Daeril were banished from their positions. What became of them is based on who you ask. Many in Damocles feel that the two were turned into the Primal blades Thunderquake and Skyflare. Those in Dantania have always believed they were instead imprisoned inside of the two moons which bear there names. The Elves of Dewwillow however once beleived another story (This story is no longer shared by the less religiously devout and more scientific elves of Nore Quenderin) that the stories were both right. Parts of both placed in the swords and moons. However the Elves of Dewwillow always worshipped the moon Daeril. However the reasons for that are unknown to the elves of Nore Quenderin who have tossed aside several of the old ways in favor of science.

Earth

Earth suffered a destructive fate in the Imperia year (Damocles calendar) of 700 AD when the beast Galadore of the Shadow Knight Empire destroyed Earth to free the Titan Atlas. When Earth was destroyed, it was in the year, it's year, of 1188 AD. However the Earth of Imperia's universe had an entirely different history. Listed below are several points in Earth's timeline and how they differed from our own.

And in the time of the Crusades, Earth was destroyed. If your character comes from Earth, then it either has to be an Earth from an alternate reality or from before it's destruction. Also, your character should show some emotional reaction to finding out their home world is now nothing more than an asteroid belt. However we prefer a person who escaped the Earth of this timeline than some alternate reality but the Ops will work with people in making such a character.

Imperia & Verdania

Above is a map of Imperia, with the region in a red square known as the continent of Verdania. This area is the primary focus of Role Play at the Imperia channels. More on Verdania is to be explained in the next segment.
